Our company
We work for members.
Union EAP partners with organized labor to improve the lives of union members and their families.

Our story
There is a better way to do an EAP.
Union EAP was founded on a simple belief: union members deserve an employee assistance program that actually works for them.
Too many traditional EAPs limit sessions, hand off a phone number and move on. We built Union EAP to do the opposite: education, real support and carefully vetted referrals, with no session limits, from people who stay with members until they get the help they need.
Our goal is to make support easy to reach, confidential and personal, especially for members who would never normally ask for help.

Not a hotline. A partner.
Always answered
Licensed, license-eligible or certified behavioral health professionals answer every call, nights, weekends and holidays included.
Session limits
Unlike traditional EAPs, we don’t cap the support members receive.
To a referral
Referrals typically within 48 hours of the first call, and immediately in an emergency.
We stay with you
Care Coordinators follow members from the first call until the issue is resolved, and dependents are covered too.
Built for the trades
We know the work your members do.
Long shifts, travel, physical work and tight crews. We help locals build recovery-friendly workplaces and make it normal to ask for help.
- Prevention education and trainings for locals
- Crisis and critical incident response
- Support after a positive drug test and return-to-work assessments
- Mental health, substance use, family, financial and legal help
- Confidential care for members and their families
Leadership
Led by people who have done the work.
Ben Cort
A leader in mental health and substance use treatment since 2007, Ben has worked with trade unions and the NFL Players Association to improve access to quality care, and wrote a widely adopted certification program on ethical treatment practices.
